Our school is already using TPRO and we'd like our new staff member(s) to be part of TPRO - what is the process for this?
Various set-up work is required for each staff member before TPRO can be used, so please use the latest TPRO Registration Form (available for download on the Getting Started page) so that Trend Technologies obtains all the information needed for the set-up work, including:
- The following details for each new staff member:
- First Name, Middle name(s) if applicable, Last name
- TC registration number (if applicable)
- Position
- Email Address
- The required Staff Access Permissions for the new staff - similar to existing staff or something different?
- Any change required in tutor/supervising teacher (and beginning teacher) permissions/assignments? If so, for whom?
However, if you have only a small number of new staff and you'd prefer to submit a service request with the above information (instead of the TPRO Registration Form), Trend Technologies will action your request.
A staff member (who is part of TPRO) is leaving our school - what is the process we need to follow?
When a staff member leaves a school:
- Please raise a service request with Trend Technologies to have the staff member's School-Related Staff Records archived in the 'Former Staff' folder from the final date of the staff member's employment at the school. These records will remain accessible to senior school staff for audit purposes etc and be archived until the school deletes them (or the principal requests Trend Technologies to delete them).
- If they continue to be a TPRO member, they may request view access to their archived records, and the school is able to arrange that view access. (Chapter 7 of the TPRO User Guide contains information on how to do this.)
If the (former) staff member wishes to continue as a TPRO member, either at a new school or as an individual:
- Ownership and control of their Professional Records remain with them
- They (or the new school) need to fill out a new TPRO Registration Form
- They need to complete a TPRO Subscriber Agreement if they are not covered by a school's Subscriber Agreement (instructions and downloads are available via the Getting Started page)
