FAQs re using TPRO

Who controls what information in TPRO?

  • Each staff member has full control over their own Staff Professional Records (i.e. their staff general info, professional development info and professional journal) and has, at a minimum, view access to their own School-Related Staff Records (i.e. teacher registration info, staff agreement info, staff responsibility info and staff appraisal info).
  • A principal and designated senior staff control the School-Related Staff Records and Additional School Information (i.e. school general info, school planning info, reports and references).

Who is responsible for the data and its accuracy in TPRO?

All schools are responsible for inputting and managing their own information. (Trend Technologies does not take any responsibility for the accuracy of school and staff data.)

Can staff members continue to use TPRO when they move to another school?

  • Yes, if the new school is using TPRO:
    - Staff continue to manage their own Professional Records
    - New School-Related Staff Records for that staff member will be created by the new school.
Note: A staff member's previous School-Related Staff Records remain under the control of the previous school and will be archived. Also, staff can arrange temporary view access to their archived School-Related Staff Records (e.g. for their new principal to check registration details).
  • Yes, if the new school is not using TPRO:
    - staff can subscribe to TPRO as individuals so that they can maintain their Professional Records.

Can I access TPRO from home?

Yes. School staff can access TPRO from home and school, enabling them to view and update their professional records at any time.

I only have a dialup modem. Can I use TPRO?

Yes. A high-speed connection to the internet is recommended, however a dialup modem can be used. Note: Factors such as the speed of your internet connection and how many others are simultaneously using the connection can have a significant effect on performance.
