Technical FAQs

Does my school need to use a server to run TPRO?

No, because TPRO is managed centrally by Trend Technologies, all you need is a computer with a Web browser and access to the internet.

What about tasks such as TPRO maintenance, updates, upgrades and data backups?

All these tasks are undertaken by Trend Technologies.

How often are data backups performed?

On a daily basis.

How does Trend Technologies ensure TPRO services are available?

Trend Technologies takes all reasonable measures to provide high service availability. For instance, system monitoring is employed which provides alerts if there is a problem, so that corrective action can be taken. It should be noted, however, that factors influencing service availability include:

  • scheduled and emergency maintenance, and scheduled updates and upgrades,
  • events outside of Trend Technologies' reasonable area of control,
  • failure of Client's internet access or any intermediate transit providers,
  • acts or omissions by Client, and
  • reasons of Force Majeure.

What technology does TPRO utilise?
